Board Minutes, June 1, 2010
DerFotoKlub of Fredericksburg Executive Board met at the FBG Hospital on June 1, 2010. The board meeting was called to order by the President, Dona Drew, at 6:02 pm. Members present were Dona Drew, Rebecca Flynt, Latrisha Jackson, Cynthia Lively & Larry Miller.
Agenda: to decide on the hanging at the University.
Larry Miller said he had spoke with the decorator, Cynthia Santa, who liked many of the images on our website and would like to decorate the University with some of them. Several clubs having been vying for the spot to show there so we should see this as an opportunity. She is looking for "fun, whimsical photos". It was decided three weeks would be the minimum time we would need to mat and frame them. Members will be able to submit a CD of 10 images, (on top of any images that she may pick from the website if the member does indeed want to submit those, it will ultimately be up to the member & will be contacted) jpg files, max of 800 pixels on the longest side, at 72dpi, plus member name, and photo title, due by the next meeting. The decorator is not buying the images but they will be available for sale, handled similar to the hospital images with a label and price added. A motion was made and passed in favor of submitting said images.
Larry Miller is also looking into getting the panels (10) for the reception. And we will only replace lights during the use of. The reception will be held at the University sometime in September for just one weekend.
Latrisha Jackson had sent out an email for t-shirts & will need a check from Bob Grinslade.
The meeting adjourned at 6:30 pm.
